The problem
Mechanical locking was no longer serving Vendanor's needs, and key management had become a hinderance. To achieve their international expansion goals, they required a secure locking system that enabled them to control their machines remotely.
Vendanor began their journey in 2013 with a clear vision: Create a range of vending machines that promote the sustainable sale of refillable propane gas cylinders and washer fluid.
Developed in Nordic climates, their easy-to-install machines are built to withstand extreme enviornments.
They stuck to their values along the way, making integrity, quality, flexibility and well-being core elements of everything they do.
Now, as an independent technology development and production company they have developed and deployed to date 732 unmatched cloud integrated, self-service vending machines, across 8 countries.
How Camlock Systems and Vendanor became partners
Upgrading to electronic locking was the obvious choice. Vendanor had learnt by doing, that mechanical locks had their limitations. Especially when they needed to gain or grant emergency access to service doors.

They needed an electronic lock that could be operate remotely, giving them control from the Head Office in Stryn.
They had previously struggled to find an electronic locking solution that offered the flexibility they needed. It was off the shelf products that either fit the product needs, or simply just didn't. They weren't able to customise a product around their needs, which is where the Series 100 came in.
How the series 100 has improved their products and business operations
Upgrading to the Series 100 has improved Vendanor's business operations by not only giving them enhanced security over their assets, but also data on who is accessing their machines, as well as when and why they're doing it.
"We knew Camlock were working on new electronic developments and trialled a prototype to start with. We were eager to get an electronic lock into our products that we could feed back on and influence our final design. Initially we had a small teething problem with the lock during the trial period. Shortly after it was flagged, we had agreed on a resolution and how to move forward. We've been happy ever since."
